Babeș-Bolyai University, College of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (department of Political Sciences) and Center for the Study of Democracy, in partnership with Cluj-Napoca City Hall, organized in march 24th-26th 2016 the “Education, good governance, national security” conference.
Following this event, CSD has developed a white paper that identifies 11 problems of the educational system and gives recommendations to address them.
The event has been included in the calendar of activities organized under the aegis of the National Debate for Education and Research – “Educated Romania”, launched by the Presidential Administration.
The event was attended by representatives of the Presidential Administration, the Romanian Government, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and more than 50 experts and representatives of NGOs.
The meeting began on the evening of March 24 with the meeting of Restart in Education community.
The opening ceremony took place in the morning of March 25 in the Aula Magna of Babeș-Bolyai University. After that, on March 25 and March 26 were held discussion sessions and debates on topics such as education reform, education and the labor market, education and good governance, education and national security.
